Jeeva was called to the Singapore Bar in July 1999 and has been actively engaged in a wide range of civil, family and criminal proceedings.
In civil practice, he has taken part in Order 14 proceedings, assessment hearings, interpleader summons, taxation and mediation hearings. He has also done probate work.
In family practice, he has done contested divorce hearings, ancillary hearings, domestic violence, including Personal Protection Order and Domestic Exclusion Order applications.
In criminal practice, he has assisted in at least 6 capital cases, done trials, and did a Magistrates Appeal. The areas of practice he has done include theft, outrage of modesty, corruption, cheating and miscellaneous offences.
Jeeva has also published a number of articles, including an essay in Comparative Law (recommended in the additional reading list of British Columbia School of Law (USA).
He is also the Singapore’s Honorary Consul to Guinea-Bissau and speaks English, Chinese, German and Tamil.
In his spare time, Jeeva enjoys reading and playing chess.
